The Brewer Foundation and New York University are proud to announce the results of the “Sweet 16” round of the 24th annual International Public Policy Forum (IPPF) – the only contest that gives high school students around the world the opportunity to engage in written and oral debates on issues of public policy.

The advancing "Elite 8" teams earn an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City to compete in the IPPF Finals on May 3, 2025. There, the IPPF World Champion will be awarded a $10,000 grand prize.

• Peak to Peak Charter School from Lafayette, Colorado, advances over Alpharetta High School from Alpharetta, Georgia.
   

• duPont Manual High School from Louisville, Kentucky, advances over The Westminster Schools from Atlanta, Georgia.
   

• Carroll Senior High School from Southlake, Texas, advances over Rowland Hall from Salt Lake City, Utah.
   

• Kealakehe Public High School from Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, advances over AfterSkool Learning Centre from Singapore.
   

• Blue Valley High School from Stilwell, Kansas, advances over Akademeia High School from Warsaw, Poland.
   

• North Allegheny Senior High School from Wexford, Pennsylvania, advances over William Mason High School from Mason, Ohio. 

 

Congratulations to each of our "Sweet 16" teams.  Your teams stood out in what was the second-largest field in IPPF history. Our judges were thoroughly impressed by the depth of research, clarity of thought, and strength of advocacy demonstrated throughout the competition.
